men never ask for directions
I completely forgot to post this when I heard. Because of this guy’s stupidity, I had to wait FOREVER for my train.
The Oregonian (click and check out the video!) reports that Steven Stein of Vancouver drove his car into the Goose Hollow Max tunnel at 4:30am. He told police that he was “on his way home”. Nice one. Rumor on the street was that he was trying to commit suicide, but apparently this $20,000 detour was only due to excessive drinking.
i love office humor
- Donna: (email) This email is to inform you that I just received this information on our migration to Active Directory. You will not be able to work in the office Saturday or Sunday, March 1 and March 2 and there are no exceptions. Make plans to take work home with you if you need to finish up something that can't wait until Monday the 3rd.
- Dave: (reply) Given the great inconvenience this forced non-work period will cause, I believe we should be compensated with a voluntary non-work period of equal length...

moonstruck
Were you able to see the lunar eclipse last night? A total eclipse of the Moon occurs during the night of Wednesday, February 20/21, 2008. The entire event is visible from South America and most of North America (on Feb. 20) as well as Western Europe, Africa, and western Asia (on Feb. 21). During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon’s disk can take on a dramatically colorful appearance from bright orange to blood red to dark brown and (rarely) very dark gray. For more information on how, what, why, where and when of lunar eclipses, see the special web page lunar eclipses for beginners. The next total eclipse will take place on December 21, 2010.
